Having spent the last 8 months travelling around Europe in our motorhome with 3 active dogs, we often found it very hit or miss to find a campsite with good facilities for us and great walks for the dogs. We found relaying on web sites and general camping review books often disappointing.
Where as dogs might be welcome, being in a large motorhome we really needed walks from the site. Often the walks would be no more than a little stroll or you needed to keep your dog on a lead.
I wanted to do my own website where I can share with others the information I have gained. I have developed this site to include all the things that I feel the the camping books and websites do not cover.
Dog Friendly - what is on offer for you and your dogs? How many dogs welcome? How much does the site charge for dogs? what kind are walks are available?
The humans - Pitches, hedged etc? Facilities - can you go into the shower without flip flops? Helpful staff? Ease of access? General campsite review.
I am also going to include reviews of the Aires, and camperstops we have stayed in. Camperstops are common throughout Europe, and provide a really cheap overnight stop. They are only to be used by motorhomes. Some provide facilities, but most are just a parking space - somewhere. some you need to pay, others are free.
I have listed all the countries we have stayed in and sites visited and I am trying to make it as easy to follow as I can.
